Join The University of Michigan Cycling Team

Anyone can join Michigan Cycling regardless of skill or experience. We have four membership tiers:

Race Team Member

Any University of Michigan student, regardless of skill level or experience, can join the race team. As a race team member you will get transportation and lodging to most races on the Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference Schedule and all of the Michigan Cycling sponsorship deals and benefits. Race team dues go towards transportation and lodging for races and are as follows:

  • Your first race weekend (new members): $35 - 50 depending on the driving distance to the race. This includes transportation and lodging, but not food or entry fees. This fee will go toward a season race team membership if you decide to race again.
  • One Season (Mountain in the Fall, or Road in the Spring): $150
  • Both Seasons: $250
  • Race entry fees are $12 per race, and are collected at the races by the host school.
  • Collegiate racing license: $30 (purchased through USA Cycling)
As a team member, you can also attend our two training camps:
  • Our Mountain Bike Training camp in the Fall the week before classes start
  • Our Road Training camp over spring break in Dahlonega, Georgia

Club Member

Any University of Michigan student, regardless of skill level or experience, can join the Michigan Cycling Club. Club members get access to all the sponsorship deals and benefits of the team, including discounted pricing on team clothing. Membership dues for the club are $40. To become a club member,
